Bucket Linkage - Lubricate

Usage:

302.5 4AZ

Note: Caterpillar recommends the use of 5% molybdenum grease for lubricating the bucket linkage. Refer to Special Publication, SEBU6250, "Caterpillar Machine Fluids Recommendations" for more information on grease.

  • Park the machine on a level surface and lower the work tools and the blade to the ground.

  • Wipe all fittings before you apply lubricant.

  • Apply lubricant to grease fitting (1) and grease fitting (2) for the pivot pin.

  • Apply lubricant to the grease fitting (3) for the rod end of the bucket cylinder.
