Pump Mounting - Remove and Install

Usage:

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
  2. Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, SENR6768, "Hydraulic system Pressure - Release".
  3. Remove the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove and Install".
  4. Remove the batteries. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Batteries - Remove and Install".
  5. Remove the gear pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, SENR6776, "Gear Pump - Remove".
  6. Remove the piston pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, SENR6768, "Piston Pump - Remove".

Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, all hoses and all tubes. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

  1. Remove twelve bolts and washer (1) from the flywheel housing.

  1. Remove adapter plate (2) from the flywheel housing.

  1. Remove eight bolts (3) from the nylon flange.

  1. Remove nylon flange (4) from the flywheel housing.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install nylon flange (4) to the flywheel housing.

  1. Install eight bolts (3) to the nylon flange. Tighten bolts to a torque of 47 ± 9 N·m (35 ± 7 lb ft).

  1. Install adapter plate (2) to the flywheel housing.

  1. Install twelve washer and bolts (1) to the flywheel housing. Tighten bolts to a torque of 60 ± 12 N·m (44 ± 9 lb ft).

End By:

  1. Install the piston pump. Refer to Disassembly and AssemblySENR6768, "Piston Pump - Install".
  2. Install the gear pump. Refer to Disassembly and AssemblySENR6776, "Gear Pump - Install".
  3. Install the batteries. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Batteries - Remove and Install".
  4. Install the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove and Install".
  5. Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
