  1. Install seal (35) into cap (32) .

    Note: Some lower outer rings may have crossholes. Align the crossholes in lower outer ring (40) at right angles to the centerline of the machine.

  1. Install lower outer ring (40) into the bearing housing. Seat lower outer ring (40) .

  1. Coat the bearing surface of inner ring (38) with 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease. Install inner ring (38) .

  1. Install spacer ring (39). Install top outer ring (37). Seat top outer ring (37) against spacer ring (39) .

  1. Place cap (32) into position on the loader frame. Measure the gap between the loader frame and cap (32) at a minimum of three places.

  1. Install shim (34) that is equal to the minimum gap measurement. Install cap (32) and six bolts (31) .

  1. Install seal (36) .

  1. Install bearing (44). Seat bearing (44) .

  1. Install seal (45) .

  1. Install seal (43) into cap (42). Install cap (42), the washers and six bolts (41) .

  1. Install tooling (B) to the loader frame of the machine and to the lift truck.

  1. Remove tooling (C). Carefully position the loader frame.

  1. Use tooling (A) in order to align the frames. This will aid in installation of the pins.

  1. Install pin (23), the washer, the spacer and bolt (22) .

  1. Install pin (29) .

  1. Install plate (24) and three bolts (25) .

  1. Measure the gap between the rear frame and cap (29) at a minimum of three places. Remove bolts (25) and plate (24) .

  1. Install two sets of shims (30) of equal thickness in order to fill the gap. Install pin (29), the washers and bolts (28) .

  1. Measure the gap between the bottom of the pin assembly and the rear frame. Install shims of measured gap minus 0.25 mm (0.0098 inch). Install the three washers and bolts (25) .

  1. Install grease line (26) and elbow (27) .

  1. Position steering cylinders and install spacers (21), pins (19), the washers and bolts (20) .

    Note: Check all seals for damage or wear. Replace worn seals or damaged seals.

  1. Install hose (17) onto steering cylinder. Install the clip, the washer and bolt (18) .

  1. Install hose (16) onto the steering cylinder. Install hose assemblies (15) .

  1. Route eight hose assemblies (12) to the original positions. Install the rubber block, plate (11), the washer and bolt (10). Install the rubber block, plate (14), the washer and bolt (13) .

  1. Install hose assembly (2). Tighten nut (9) .

  1. Install fitting (8) and grease line (7) .

  1. Install brake cable (6), the clip, the washer and bolt (5) .

  1. Position hose assemblies (1) and (2). Install the rubber blocks, plates (4) and bolts (3) .

End By: Install the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cab - Install".
