Electric Starting Motor - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure

Accidental machine starting can cause injury or death to personnel working on the machine. To avoid accidental machine starting, turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position and remove the key. Place a do not operate tag at the battery disconnect switch location to inform personnel that the machine is being worked on. |
Note: Put identification marks on all wires and all bolts for installation purposes.
- Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

- Disconnect positive battery cable from the battery.
- Remove six bolts (1) and lower access panel (2) .

- Remove ground wire (3) from the electric starter motor.

- Disconnect wires (4) and (5) from the electric starter motor.

- Remove three bolts and washers (6). Remove electric starter motor (7) .

Installation Procedure
- Install electric starter motor (7) to the housing.

- Install three washers and bolts (6) .
- Connect wires (5) and (4) to the electric starter motor.

- Install ground wire (3) to the electric starter motor.

- Install lower access panel (2) and six bolts (1) .

- Connect positive battery cable on the battery.
- Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
