Lower the temperature of bearing cups (2). Install the bearing cups in roller (1) .

Heat bearing cone (3) to a maximum temperature of 135° C (275° F). Install bearing cone (3) on shaft (4) .

Install the shaft and the bearing cone in the roller.

Heat bearing cone (6) to a maximum temperature of 135° C (275° F). Install the bearing cone on the shaft.

Install plate (8) with the ground surface toward the shaft and bearing cone (6) .

Install lock (5) and bolts (7). Bend the ends of lock (5) against bolt heads (7) .

Put O-ring seal (10) in a mixture of soap and water. Install the O-ring seal on cover (9) .

Put cover (9) into position on the roller and install three bolts (11) .

Put O-ring seal (12) in a mixture of soap and water. Install the O-ring seal on support assembly (13) .

Use two 6 mm forged eyebolts and install support assembly (13) in the roller.

Use Tooling (A) and install Duo-Cone seal kit (15) in the support assembly. See Disassembly and Assembly, "Duo-Cone Conventional Seals - Install" or Disassembly and Assembly, "Duo-Cone Inverted Seals - Install".

Put O-ring seal (14) in a mixture of soap and water. Install the O-ring seal on the shaft.

Use Tooling (A) and install Duo-Cone seal kit (16) in collar assembly (17) .

Put collar assembly (17) into position on the roller. Use Tooling (B) in order to hold the collar assembly in position. Install the ring that holds the collar assembly in place.

Put 246 ± 15 cc (0.52 ± 0.03 pint) of SAE 30W oil in the roller and install plug (18). Tighten the plug to a torque of 170 ± 20 N·m (125 ± 15 lb ft).

End By: Install the track carrier rollers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track Carrier Roller - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
