Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the track carrier roller. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track Carrier Roller - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.

1. Move the machine forward or backward. Position the track pins between the carrier roller and the front idler.

2. Put blocks (1) into position under the front of the track.

3. Put blocks (2) into position in order to support the track.

4. Remove three track shoes (3) over the track pins.

5. Fasten a hoist to Tooling (A). Put Tooling (A) into position against track pin (4) .

6. Push track pin (4) out of the track with Tooling (A) and install one of Tooling (B) in order to hold the track together until the other track pin is removed.

7. Put Tooling (A) into position against track pin (5). Push track pin (5) out of the track and install Tooling (B) .

8. Remove Tooling (A) from the track.

NOTICE
Make sure that you do not damage the face of the seals when you force apart the links.

9. Put Tooling (C) into position in link assembly (7), as shown. Use Tooling (C) and spread the link assembly in order to disconnect link assembly (7) from link assembly (6) .

10. Remove Tooling (B). Move link assembly (6) away from link assembly (7) .

11. Put Tooling (C) into position in link assembly (8), as shown.

12. Use Tooling (C) and spread link assembly (8) in order to remove link assembly (7). Remove Tooling (B) and link assembly (7) .

13. Remove seals (9) and rings (10) from link assembly (7) .

14. Put the link assembly into position in Tooling (D), as shown.

15. Remove link (11) from bushing (12) with Tooling (D) .

16. Use Tooling (D) in order to remove link (13) from bushing (12) .

17. Remove the plugs and the stoppers from the track pins.
