Assembly Procedure

1. Install bearing (24) and snap ring (25) in cage (21) .

2. Install cage (21), two retainers (23) and six bolts (22) on the right push arm (20) .

3. Use a hoist and Tooling (A) in order to position right push arm (20) on the trunnion and blocks (2) .

4. Install cap (19) and the bolts that hold the right push arm on the trunnion.

5. Use a hoist and Tooling (A) in order to position left push arm (17) in cage (21) and on the trunnion. Position the blocks under the left push arm.

6. Install cap (18) and the bolts that hold the left push arm on the trunnion.

7. Position bulldozer blade (12) on the push arms with a hoist.

8. Install the shims, caps (16) and the bolts that hold the shims and caps in place. There must be 0.3 mm (.010 inch) to 0.8 mm (.030 inch) clearance between the cap and the trunnion ball when the cap is installed.

9. Position brace (14) on the bulldozer blade with a hoist. Install the shims and cap (13). Install the bolts that hold the shims and the cap in place. There must be 0.3 mm (.010 inch) to 0.8 mm (.030 inch) clearance between the cap and the trunnion ball after the shims and the cap are installed.

10. Put brace (14) into position on the left push arm. Install pin (15) .

11. Remove the hoist from the bulldozer blade.

12. Install link assembly (10) and pins (11) between the push arm and the bulldozer blade.

13. Fasten a hoist to the rod end of the lift cylinder. Support the weight of the cylinders with the hoist.

14. Extend the lift cylinders until rod assembly (9) is in position on the trunnion ball on the bulldozer blade.

15. Install the shims and caps (8). Install the bolts that hold the shims and caps in place. There must be 0.3 mm (.010 inch) to 0.8 mm (.030 inch) clearance between the cap and the trunnion ball after the shims and the cap are installed.

16. Fasten a hoist to tilt cylinder (6). Put the tilt cylinder into position on the push arm, and install pin (7) .

17. Put the rod end of the tilt cylinder into position against the trunnion ball. Install the shims and cap (5). Install the bolts that hold the shims and the cap in place. There must be 0.3 mm (.010 inch) to 0.8 mm (.030 inch) clearance between the cap and the trunnion ball after the shims and the cap are installed.

18. Position the tilt cylinder hoses. Install the rubber and guard (4) .

19. Connect tilt cylinder hoses (3) to the elbows.

20. Raise the bulldozer and remove blocks (2) from push arms (1). Lower the bulldozer.

End By: Install the bulldozer. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bulldozer - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
