Installation Procedure

NOTICE
Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

1. Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.

2. Use Tooling (A) and a hydraulic press to install bushing (7) to roller (6) . Install the bushing until the bushing is seated in the roller.

3. Install O-ring seal (5) to roller (6) . Connect the roller to the shaft.

4. Use a pry bar to open bracket (2) to install guide roller (4) .

5. Install grease fitting (3) to guide roller (4) . Install bolt (1) to bracket (2) . Adjust the guide roller. Refer to Hydraulic System, SENR8658 for information on adjusting the guide roller.
