615C Series II Wheel Tractor-Scraper Machine Systems Caterpillar

Removal Procedure

1. Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Lower the scraper bowl to the ground and engage the parking brake. Chock the wheels in order to prevent the machine from moving.

2. Move the ejector to the front of the scraper bowl.

3. Remove bolt (1) from bracket (2) . Remove grease fitting (3) from guide roller (4) .

4. Use a pry bar to open bracket (2) to remove guide roller (4) .

5. Separate the roller from the shaft. Remove O-ring seal (5) from roller (6) .

6. Use Tooling (A) and a hydraulic press to remove bushing (7) from roller (6) .
