Parking Brake (1) Drum (2) Lever assembly (3) Cage (4) Yoke (5) Shoe |
The parking brake is on the rear side of the front axle housing. The braking force is applied with a lever and a cable assembly. The parking brake is manually actuated. This is done by pulling upward on a lever assembly that is operated by hand.
As the drive shaft rotates, drum (1) and yoke (4) rotate. Brake shoe (5) and lever assembly (2) are fastened to cage (3). Cage (3) remains stationary.
Whenever lever assembly (2) is actuated, brake shoe (5) presses against drum (1). This prevents the shaft and yoke (4) from turning.

- The control lever to the hydrostatic drive is in the NEUTRAL position.
- The parking brake is engaged.
The parking brake must be released while the direction control lever is in the NEUTRAL position before shifting into FORWARD or REVERSE.
