Installation Procedure

Note: Ensure that the pins slide freely in the pin bores before assembly. Lubricate all the pin bores and the pins with 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease .

1. Lower the temperature of bearing (10). Use tooling (C) in order to center bearing (10) in the bore. Use tooling (B) in order to install new lip type seals (10) .

2. Install straps and a hoist to the tilt cylinder. Put the head end of the cylinder in the original location in the lifting arms. Install pin (9). Install the washer, the spacer and bolt (8) .

3. Install plate (6). Install the washer and bolt (7) .

4. Check the condition of the O-ring seals in the hose assemblies (5). Replace worn seals or damaged seals. Install hose assembly (5) to the tilt cylinder.

5. Align the rod end of the tilt cylinder with the tilt lever. Install pin (4). Install the washer, the spacer and bolt (3) .

6. Check the condition of the O-ring seals in the hose assemblies. Replace worn seals or damaged seals. Install hose assembly (2) and clamps (1) .

End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
