Separate And Connect The Steering Frame Lock

Always engage the parking brake and transmission neutral lock before dismounting the machine, operating the backhoe or engaging the boom lock for the transport position. Failure to do so could allow unexpected machine movement, resulting in personal injury or death.

Note: The steering frame locks are identical on both the IT14G and the 914G.

Locked Position

1. Remove the cotter pin and remove pin (2) that holds steering frame lock (1) in the stored position on the rear frame group.

2. Swing steering frame lock (1) from the stored position. Position steering frame lock (1) on the loader frame. Align the pin bores. Install pin (2) and the cotter pin.

3. To restore steering frame lock (1) to the stored position, remove the cotter pin and pin (2) .

4. Swing steering frame lock (1) from the locked position. Position steering frame lock (1) on the rear frame group. Align the pin bores. Install pin (2) and the cotter pin.
