Introduction
Always use an installation tool that is the correct size in order to install the Duo-Cone Seals. Using the correct sized tool will prevent damage to the toric ring or to the sealing faces of the Duo-Cone Seals.
The installation tool serves two purposes:
- The tool locates the seal group to the correct distance from a reference surface.
- The tool positions the seal group around a shaft.

Note: Use isopropyl alcohol or other approved lubricants for assembly when you are installing Duo-Cone Seals.
