1. Open the engine access door on the back side of the machine. Use the prop rod to hold the engine access door open. The alternator is located in the engine compartment.

2. Inspect the condition of the alternator belts (1) and the adjustment of the alternator belts. The alternator belts should deflect 14 to 20 mm (0.55 to 0.79 inch) under 110 N (25 lb) of force.

3. Loosen mounting bolt (3). Loosen adjusting locknut (2) .

4. Move the alternator until the correct tension is reached.

5. Tighten adjusting locknut (2). Tighten the mounting bolt (3) .

6. Recheck the belt deflection. If the amount of deflection is incorrect, repeat Step 3 to Step 5.

7. Close the engine access door.

2. Inspect the condition of the air conditioner belt (1) and the adjustment of the air conditioner belt. The air conditioner belt should deflect 14 to 20 mm (0.55 to 0.79 inch) under 110 N (25 lb) of force.

3. Loosen the mounting bolts (2) .

4. Move the compressor until the correct tension is reached.

5. Tighten the mounting bolts.

6. Recheck the belt deflection. If the amount of deflection is incorrect, repeat Step 3 to Step 5.

7. Close the engine access door.
