(1) A thin film of 2P-2333 High Temperature Sealer is applied to the outside diameter of the male end of the manifold. Assemble the exhaust manifold to the engine.

(2) Put oil on the female ends of the manifold.

(3) The length of the spacer is the following value. ... 53 ± 0.8 mm (2.09 ± 0.03 inch)

(4) Install studs in the cylinder head.

Torque for studs ... 35 ± 5 N·m (26 ± 4 lb ft)

(5) The length of the spacer is the following value.

Small spacer ... 13.5 ± 0.8 mm (0.53 ± 0.03 inch)

Large spacer ... 33.5 ± 0.8 mm (1.32 ± 0.03 inch)

Bolt tightening sequence (typical example)

Apply 5P-3931 Thread Compound to all of the studs on the manifold.

In the numerical sequence, tighten bolts.

Torque for nuts ... 38 ± 5 N·m (28 ± 4 lb ft)
