Battery - Inspect

Usage:

------ WARNING! ------

Batteries give off flammable fumes that can explode resulting in personal injury.

Prevent sparks near the batteries. They could cause vapors to explode.

Do not smoke near batteries.

Electrolyte is an acid and can cause personal injury if it contacts skin or eyes.

Always wear eye protection when starting a machine with jump start cables.

  1. Remove the slow moving vehicle sign (if equipped).

  1. The batteries are located in a compartment behind the cab. In order to access the batteries, remove cover (1). Release two rubber latches (2) in order to remove cover (1). Rubber latches (2) are located on each side of the compartment.

  1. Clean the top of the battery with a clean cloth. Check battery terminals (3) for corrosion.

  1. Make sure that bracket (4) is tight enough to hold the batteries in place. Do not overtighten the clamp bolts.

  1. Reinstall the cover for the battery compartment. Make sure that the cover overlaps the compartment. Engage latches (2) .

  1. Install the slow moving vehicle sign (if equipped).
