Cooling System Relief Valve - Clean

If the system overheats or if coolant is leaking, clean the relief valve or replace the relief valve.
- Slowly remove the filler cap. This will relieve the pressure.
- Remove the bolts from the valve and remove the valve assembly.
- Inspect valve (1) , valve seals (2) and gasket (3) . If necessary, replace the valve, the seals or the gaskets.

- Inspect valve cover (4) and mounting bolts (5) .
- Assemble the relief valve assembly and install the relief valve assembly.
- Install the filler cap.
