Apply 4C-4030 Thread Lock Compound to the first three threads of the mounting bolts or the mounting studs.
Refer to the Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting Module, "Fuel System Pressure - Test" topic in order to test the operation of the fuel transfer pump.
Note: When the fuel transfer pump is installed on the engine, ensure that the camshaft is on minimum lobe lift and that the bolts are evenly tightened. Failure to follow this procedure can cause the following conditions: loss of maximum engine power and damage to the fuel transfer pump .
