Direction Control

Usage:

IT14G 1WN
Forward directional changes and reverse directional changes are possible while the machine is moving. However, reducing the engine speed is recommended, when directional changes are being made. Reducing the machine ground speed and/or braking is recommended, when directional changes are being made. This permits operator comfort and maximum service life of the power train components.

To avoid an unstable machine, the machine should be stopped before any directional changes are made with a raised load.

FORWARD (1) - Move the direction control lever upward. The machine will move forward. The alert indicator on the dashboard will come on if the machine is equipped with a direction control switch.

NEUTRAL (2) - The machine should not move when the direction control lever is in the NEUTRAL position. The alert indicator on the dashboard will come on if the machine is equipped with a direction control switch.

REVERSE (3) - Move the direction control lever downward. The machine will move in reverse. The alert indicator on the dashboard will come on if the machine is equipped with a direction control switch.

Direction Control Switch (If Equipped)

Note: If the machine is equipped with a direction control switch, the direction control switch and the direction control lever must be the NEUTRAL position before either of the controls will function. The direction control that is used must be moved to the NEUTRAL position before you can use the other control. If both controls are moved out of the NEUTRAL position, the system will default to NEUTRAL. The system can be reset by placing the controls in the NEUTRAL position.
