Monitoring System

Usage:

570B CKG
The IQAN Monitoring and Control System is located on the side console panel. IQAN consists of a display screen and nine keys. The following items can be displayed on the IQAN:

  • Engine Speed

  • Machine Speed

  • Oil Pressure

  • Oil Temperature

  • Gear Position

  • System Voltage

The two main screens of the IQAN are the operation state and the function state. When the engine start key is turned to the ON position, the IQAN is in the operation/self test mode.

An alarm state is also provided. The alarm state is only active if a problem exists with the machine.

Arrow key (1) - Use the left/right arrow keys for scrolling between the display screens and for changing a selected value.

Function keys (2) - The function keys can be used to select a submenu or a value that needs to be changed while the IQAN is in the function state.

Menu (3) - Use the menu key to scroll between the operation state and the function state. The menu key can be used in order to clear an alarm.

Alarm State

The alarm state is automatically activated when a sensor indicates a fault. The display will indicate the fault. When the fault has been repaired, the IQAN will return to the operation state. After the fault has been corrected, press menu key (3) in order to clear the alarm.

Note: The fault must be repaired before the machine is operated again.

Operation State

The operation state is active after the engine start switch has been moved to the ON position and a self test of the system has been performed. The screen displays information such as the engine speed, coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level.

There are three different screens that can be displayed in the operation state. Press the left arrow and the right arrow in order to toggle between the three screens.

This screen displays the various conditions of the machine. This is the default screen. This screen will remain until a new screen is selected or until a problem with the machine is detected.

If a problem is detected, the warning light on the front corner of the cab will flash and an alarm will sound. The alarm state will appear on the screen that displays the problem. Do not operate the machine until the problem has been corrected.

"Engine Speed" (4) - This display indicates the speed of the engine.

"Gear" (5) - This display indicates the gear speed and the direction of travel. An asterisk appears next to the selected direction. The screen for the 574B Forwarder is shown.

"Machine Speed" (6) - This display indicates the ground speed of the machine in km/h.

"Engine Temp" (7) - This display indicates the operating temperature of the engine.

"Driver" (8) - This display indicates the operator that is currently selected. The machine settings for that operator are currently active.

"Engine Press" (9) - This display indicates the oil pressure in the engine.

"Fuel Level" (10) - This display indicates the amount of fuel that is remaining in the fuel tank. The measurement is in liters.

The date and the time are also shown to the right of the driver. The date is displayed by the year, the month, and the day. The time of day is indicated by a 24 hour clock (11) .

Pressures and Temperatures

Press the right arrow while you are in the operation state in order to display this screen. This screen indicates the operating pressures and the temperatures of the machine systems.

"Charge" (12) - This display indicates the oil pressure of the charge system of the power train.

"Xmsn" (13) - This display indicates the temperature of the power train oil.

"Hydraul" (14) - This display indicates the temperature of the hydraulic oil.

"Gearbox" (15) - This display indicates the temperature of the oil in the transmission gearbox.

Press the right arrow key in order to return to the operation state screen.

Operational Hours

Press the left arrow key two times while you are at the operation state screen. This screen displays the total operational hours of the machine. Use this screen to determine the maintenance intervals for the machine.

"Hourcounter Engine" (16) - This display indicates the total operational hours of the engine in order to determine the service intervals of the machine.

"Hourcounter Trans" (17) - This display indicates the total operational hours of the power train.

"Battery" (18) - This display indicates the voltage of the batteries.

Press the right arrow key in order to return to the operation state screen.

Function State

The function state can be used for adjusting the operation of the loader and for monitoring the operation of the machine. The function state is active when the menu key is pressed. Pressing the menu key again will return the IQAN to the operation state.

Two screens are provided while the IQAN is in the function state. Press the left arrow or the right arrow in order to toggle between the two screens.

Press the function key that is next to the item in order to activate that function.

"Choose Driver" (19) - To access the "Choose Driver" submenu, press the menu key and then press the "F1" button. The settings of the control levers and information about the loader operation of the machine can be saved for three different operators.

"ADJ Boom" (20) - To access the "Trim" submenu, press the menu key and then press the "F2" key. This submenu can be used to adjust the output signals from the following items: Steering controls, Gate horizontal (if equipped), Boom tilt (if equipped), Swing, Grapple, Boom, Stick, Rotator, Extendable stick and Bogies (if equipped).

"Copy" (21) - To access the "Copy" submenu, press the menu key and then press the "F3" key. This submenu can be used to copy the settings from one of the other three operators.

"Trip Counter" (22) - To access the "Trip Counter" submenu, press the menu key and then press the "F4" key. This submenu can be used to record the travel distance of the machine during a shift. The trip counter may also be used in order to measure the distance of loads.

"Info" (23) - To access the "Info" submenu, press the following keys in the following order: menu key, right arrow and "F1" key. This submenu will display information about the machine.

"Display" (24) - To access the "Display" submenu, press the following keys in the following order: menu key, right arrow and "F2" key. This submenu will allow you to adjust the brightness of the screen and the contrast of the screen. You can also set the time on the 24 hour clock and the language for the text on the screen.

"Maintenance" (25) - In order to access the "Maintenance" submenu, press the following keys in the following order: menu key, right arrow and "F3" key.

"Measure" (26) - To access the "Measure" submenu, press the following keys in the following order: menu key, right arrow and "F4" key. This submenu will allow you to measure the input signals of the IQAN and the output signals of the IQAN.
