Usage:
Jake Brake Installation
(1) Jake Brake.
(2) Bolt. Tighten to ... 64 N·m (47 lb ft)
(3) Washer.
(4) Solenoid valve. Tighten to ... 7 N·m (5 lb ft)
(5) Nut. Tighten to ... 135 N·m (100 lb ft)
(6) Washer.
(7) Adjusting screw (slave piston).
Adjust slave piston lash with the engine stopped. The exhaust valves must be closed on the cylinder to be adjusted. See the topic, Jake Brake Adjustment, in the Testing and Adjusting section of this manual.
(8) Adjusting screw locknut. Tighten to ... 22 N·m (16 lb ft)
(9) Adjusting screw (rocker arm).
Adjust valve clearance. See the topic, Valve Clearance Setting, in the Testing and Adjusting section of this service manual.
(10) Locknut. Tighten to ... 30 N·m (22 lb ft)
(11) Rocker arm.
(12) Shim.
(13) Hold-down stud. Tighten to ... 450 N·m (330 lb ft)
(14) Bolt. Tighten to ... 450 N·m (330 lb ft)
(15) Support bracket.
(16) Adjusting screw (bridge).
Adjust with the engine stopped. The exhaust valves must be closed on the cylinder to be adjusted. See the topic, Bridge Adjustment, in the Testing and Adjusting section of this service manual.
(17) Locknut. Tighten to ... 32 N·m (24 lb ft)
(18) Bridge (exhaust).
(19) Nut. Tighten to ... 16 N·m (13 lb ft)
(20) Washer.
(21) Leadout assembly.
(22) Spacer.
(23) O-ring.
(24) Spacer mounting stud. Tighten to ... 13.5 N·m (10 lb ft)
(25) Screw. Tighten to ... 18 N·m (13 lb ft)
(26) Oil supply adapter.
(27) Washer.
(28) Washer.
(29) Valve cover base.
(30) Bridge assembly (intake).
