(4) Torque for the filler valve that is used for adjusting the track ... 35 ± 7 N·m (26 ± 5 lb ft)

(5) Torque for the plug in the end of the cylinder ... 300 ± 40 N·m (220 ± 30 lb ft)

(A) Dimension ... 6.0 + 3.6 - 2.9 mm (0.24 + 0.14 - 0.11 inch)

Note: Fill the cylinder with SAE 30W oil and evacuate all air. When the cylinder is properly purged, the cylinder should have a maximum piston movement of 3.0 mm (0.12 inch) under a load of 4500 kg (9920 lb).

Instructions for Installing the Recoil Spring

1. When the recoil spring is installed, tighten retainer (2) until the retainer bottoms out. When retainer (2) bottoms out, the retainer will be 6.0 + 3.6 - 2.9 mm (0.24 + 0.14 - 0.11 inch) from the end of tube (6) .

2. Loosen retainer (2) enough to install retainer lockplates (1) .
