In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer and service rep. Obtain the service reps Goodwill Approver Code
before completing the repair. EAME dealers should use their standard Industry Group specific goodwill approval codes. The Goodwill Approver Code must be included when submitting the claim.

If administered before failure, use "56" as Warranty Claim Description and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

The existing NRS cooler can fail on certain 740B, and 745C Articulated Trucks, 336E, 336F, 340F, 349E, and 374F Excavators, D6T Track-Type Tractors, 966K, and 972M Wheel Loaders. If the existing NRS cooler fails internally it can lead to coolant getting into the air system and potentially cause additional engine damage.
In order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 32% of dealership population. This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer.

Rework Procedure
Group Number 1
Replace NRS cooler with the updated NRS cooler following instructions outlined in Service Magazine, M0085324, "A New NOx Reduction System Cooler Group Is Now Used on All C9.3 Tier 4 Interim Machine Engines".
For additional system checks that may be required, reference Special Instruction, M0069778 "System Check after an NRS Cooler Failure for C9.3 through C18 Tier 4 Engines".
Refer to Special Instruction, M0070968, "Coolant Drain and Vacuum Fill Procedure For Certain C9.3 Through C18 Tier 4 Engines", for the proper coolant drain and fill procedure.
Pressure test the coolant system to verify no leaks are present. Refer to KENR9368, Testing and Adjusting, "Testing the Radiator and Cooling System for Leaks" for the procedure prior to starting the machine once the rework is completed.
Group Number 2
Replace NRS cooler with the updated NRS cooler following instructions outlined in Service Magazine, M0081596, "A New NOx Reduction System Cooler Group and Water Lines Group Is Now Used on Certain 349E C13 Tier 4i Engines".
For additional system checks that may be required, reference Special Instruction, M0069778 "System Check after an NRS Cooler Failure for C9.3 through C18 Tier 4 Engines".
Refer to Special Instruction, M0070968, "Coolant Drain and Vacuum Fill Procedure For Certain C9.3 Through C18 Tier 4 Engines", for the proper coolant drain and fill procedure.
Pressure test the coolant system to verify no leaks are present. Refer to UENR0946, Testing and Adjusting, "Testing the Radiator and Cooling System for Leaks" for the procedure prior to starting the machine once the rework is completed.

Refer to Special Instruction, M0070968, "Coolant Drain and Vacuum Fill Procedure For Certain C9.3 Through C18 Tier 4 Engines", for the proper coolant drain and fill procedure.
