CAT REMAN ANNOUNCES AN ADVANCED SALVAGE TECHNIQUE WHICH WILL AFFECT THE APPEARANCE OF CERTAIN 3406E, C-15, AND C15 TURBOCHARGERS Caterpillar

Cat Reman announces an advanced salvage technique for turbocharger compressor housings which will affect the appearance of some turbochargers. Cat Reman has developed a process to salvage compressor housings, which utilizes an insert in the inlet area in order to meet original specifications. Effective immediately, dealers will see turbochargers both with and without the insert.

The new salvage process does not affect quality, reliability, durability, fit, or performance.

Effective immediately, Figure 1 and Figure 2 will both represent acceptable appearance for turbocharger compressor housings.
