3500C Industrial Engines are electronically controlled diesel engines. The engines have electronic unit injectors. The engines are equipped with separate circuit aftercooling (SCAC). The engine is offered in an 8 cylinder engine and a 12 cylinder engine.
Engine efficiency and engine performance depend on adherence to proper operation and maintenance recommendations. Use the recommended fuels, lubrication oils, and coolant. Pay special attention to the air cleaner, to the fuel system, to the lubrication system, and to the cooling system maintenance. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Maintenance Interval Schedule" for more information on maintenance items.
Note: The front end of the engine is opposite the flywheel end of the engine. The left side and the right side of the engine are determined from the flywheel end. The number 1 cylinder is the front cylinder.
