The Menu

Access the Menu

The menu can be accessed from one of the following two places:

  • Press the "Home" button. The menu is available using softkey number 1.

  • Press and hold the "Home" button for 1 second.

Menu Selections

Active Station

The "Active Station" is used when there are multiple RP410 stations in the installation. Press the "Active Station" icon to access the "Active Station" dialog.

Camera

An IP camera can be connected to the Ethernet network. The image will be displayed on the RP410 screen.

Up to four cameras can be connected to one RP410 screen. All four images can be displayed simultaneously or just one full screen image.

Note: The image update rate is 4 to 5 frames per second.

Expand to Full Screen

Touch one of the four camera images to expand to full screen view for that camera.

Reduce to one-fourth of the Screen

Touch anywhere on the full-size image to reduce the image to one-fourth of the screen size.

Backlight

Select between different screen backlight settings.

  • 10 percent backlight is as dark as can be

  • 50 percent backlight is half full

  • 100 percent backlight is fully lit

  • Automatic varies between 10 percent and 100 percent using an ambient light detector.

  • Night mode is the same as automatic. The difference is that night mode will turn the screen completely off 10 seconds after no action has taken place. The screen will awake if any alarm occurs or due to user input. The screen will stay lit as long as there are unacknowledged alarms.

Generator

If the DCU engine panel is reading generator parameters from the RIO 425, then the generator image and values will be displayed here.

Refer to the following list for the displayed values:

  • Individual phase currents

  • Phase-Phase voltages

  • Phase-Neutral voltages

  • Frequency (Hz)

  • Total power (kW)

  • Cosinus (decimal value)

Languages

Select the desired RP410 operator language.

Note: The instruments text description resides in the DCU, and must be translated for each language during installation of the DCU.

If a language is selected where there is no translation, the default language will be used.

Counters

The counters page displays engine running hours for all the engines.

The counters page displays IP addresses and revision numbers.

The DCU section displays the IP address of the connected engine panels.

Configuration

The configuration menu selection leads to the user configuration submenu section. The configuration menu is not password protected.

Wallpaper

The wallpaper is the background image for the instrument screens.

Predefined Wallpapers

Select appropriate background wallpaper from the selection of available wallpapers.

Up to eight wallpaper backgrounds may come with the unit.

Personal Wallpaper

Personal wallpaper can be uploaded using the web interface.

  1. Connect a standard Ethernet cable between the RP410 and your PC.

  1. In the PC browser, type the IP address of the RP410, as found in the RP410 submenu.

  1. Select "Upload Wallpaper".

  1. Using the "Browse" button, select a picture file from your PC in PNG format. Select the size 640x416 pixels. Maximum file size is 1MB.

  1. Select the "Upload" button.

Button Beep

The button beep selection allows the user to decided whether a button press and a tap on the touch screen should activate the buzzer.

The function toggles on/off.

Sound Configuration

The RP410 has a pair of speakers and a buzzer built-in. Use the sound configuration selection to choose between the buzzer or the sounds that are programmed from the factory. The sound will be heard through the speakers.

The speaker sound is also available on the 3.5 mm standard mini-jack output on the panel rear. The 3.5 mm standard mini-jack is for connection to external speakers such as typical speakers for a PC.

Home Page Layout

The home page is accessed by pressing the "Home" button. The home page is the top level in the instrument hierarchy.

The home page can use the entire area of the screen for instruments or be divided into two or four quadrants. Each quadrant houses instruments for other engines.

If there are three engines connected to the RP410, you can choose the layouts that are shown in Illustration 7.

Single

If the single screen is selected, pressing the "Home" button will display the engine with the lowest IP number.

The "Previous" and "Next" buttons provide access to all other engines.

Dual

If "Dual" is selected, the screen is divided in two halves. The left pane displays engine #1, and the right pane displays engine #2.

The "Previous" and "Next" buttons provide access to all other engines.

Quad

If "Quad" is selected, the screen is divided into four quadrants. The top left quadrant displays engine #1, the top right quadrant displays engine #2, and the bottom left quadrant displays engine #3.

Note: If there are 5-8 engines installed, the "Previous" and "Next" buttons are used to access the engines.

Calibrate Touch Screen

If the touch screen is hard to navigate, a recalibration may be needed.

Emergency Access

In case the screen is out of calibration to the extent the screen cannot be used, press and hold the "Home" button for 10 seconds, to access the calibration screen.

Select units:

  • Metric (Celsius, bar)

  • U.S. (Fahrenheit, psi)

System Configuration

The system configuration selection allows access to the system configuration submenu section. The system configuration section is password protected.

The password is a four-digit number.

If the wrong number is entered, the panel will issue an encrypted code. This code can be used by the factory to revert to the original password.
