在出现以下任一状况之前必须完成本步骤：
- 拆卸喷油泵。
- 松开用于将燃油喷油泵固定到前壳体上的螺栓。
- 如有必要，安装喷油泵。 有关正确的步骤，请参阅拆解和组装, "燃油喷油泵 - 安装"。
- 从缸体上拆下螺塞 (1) 。 如有必要，使用工具 (A) 旋转曲轴，直到 1 号活塞处于上止点位置。
注: 1 号活塞可能处于压缩冲程或排气冲程。

- 将工具 (B) 安装到缸体中的孔 (X) 。 使用工具 (B) ，将曲轴定位到正确位置。
注: 安装工具 (B) 时不要使用过大的力量。 在修理过程中不要使用工具 (B) 固定曲轴。
- 将工具 (C) 安装到位置 (Y) 处，适配器板的孔中。 使用工具 (A) 旋转曲轴，直到工具 (C) 定位在喷油泵齿轮的槽中。
