The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

There have been reports of slow or weak steering on the machines listed above. The metering pump has the load sense relief set too low which causes steering pressure low.

Replace the failed parts with new parts using the same part numbers. Contact your Technical Communicator at your local Caterpillar dealership to return the failed parts. Include the steering system pressure reading with the returned HMU.
