Introduction

This Special Instruction outlines the procedures necessary to install the 435-3706 Monitor Kit on machines listed above.

Do not operate or work on this machine or work tool unless you have read and understand the instructions and warnings in the Operation and Maintenance Manuals and Owner's Manuals. Failure to follow the instructions or heed the warnings could result in injury or death. Contact your Caterpillar dealer for replacement manuals. Proper care is your responsibility.

Prepare the Machine

1. Move the machine to a flat level area that will support the weight of the machine.

2. Lower all implements to the ground.

3. Install frame lock into position.

4. Shut down the machine and lock out the machine. Attach a "Do Not Operate" warning tag or similar warning to the start switch or to the controls before attempting the installation procedure on the machine. These warning tags are available from your Cat dealer.

Removal Procedure

1. Remove camera display group (B).

2. Remove the two screws (C) from the top of cab arrangement and discard the display module group (D).

3. Disconnect the harness assembly (E) by removing cable straps (F).

1. Attach base (2) to display module (1) using four screws (3), and four washers (4).

2. Attach base (2) to bracket assembly (5) using four screws (6) and four washers (7).

3. Attach clamp (9) to base (2). Loosen clamp (9) until the clamp fits over the bases.

4. Assemble bracket assembly (5) to the top of cab arrangement (G) using two screws (8).

5. Connect harness to display module group (1) and route harness using screw (10), nut (11), and washer (12).

6. Connect monitor coaxial cable (17) to motor harness assembly (13) using cable straps (14).

7. Connect cab coaxial cable (16) to cable assembly (15) using cable straps (14).

8. Connect motor harness assembly (13) to the main cab harness connector C-C52.

9. Secure motor harness assembly (13) to the main cab harness using four cable straps (14).

10. Connect bolt (18), and nut (11) to cab trim group (H).
