A Caterpillar javasolja, hogy ellenőrizzék a motortartók minőségromlását. A motortartók ellenőrzésével gondoskodhat arról, hogy a csavarok meghúzási nyomatéka megfelelő legyen. Ez a karbantartási eljárás segít megelőzni a motor túlzott mértékű vibrációját, amelyet a nem megfelelő felszerelés okoz.
