(4) Bolt (Ground Cable)

The front doors to the cabinets are hinged on the left or right side depending on the cabinet and allows access to the inside controls and components of the cabinet. There are five bolts holding each door to the metal frame of the cabinet and are accessed from inside the cabinet. Each door also has ground cable that is connected to the frame of the cabinet.

  1. Locate the metal braided grounding cable located at the bottom of the door which connects the door to the cabinet frame.

  1. Remove the nut and bolt holding the grounding cable to the door using a 7/16 inch socket. An offset end wrench may be required to hold the nut while the bolt is loosened.

  1. Retrieve the nut and bolt and move the grounding cable out of the way of the door. Do not let the grounding cable fall inside the metal shield, if present.

  1. Locate the five bolts attaching the door to the metal frame.

  1. Remove the five bolts from the cabinet frame using a 3/8 inch socket start at the bottom and moving up. Be sure to support the door before the final bolt is removed. The door is heavy and will move down and out once the final bolt is removed.

  1. Lift door up so that the holes in the hinge are aligned with the five threaded huck rivets.

  1. Screw the 1/4 inch bolt with the 3/8 inch head loosely into the top hole of the hinge and into the top threaded huck rivet of the door frame.

  1. Screw in the remaining four screws loosely into the remaining holes.

  1. Tighten the five screws finger tight and adjust the door position as needed so that the door closes properly.
