Note: Lubricate the threads of the locknut with the lubricant that is being sealed.

(1) Torque for the locknut ... 6000 ± 600 N·m (4420 ± 440 lb ft)

Note: Press the sleeve bearings (2) until the sleeve bearings are flush with the inside faces of the cap.

(3) Lubricate the sealing lip of the buffer seal assembly lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

(4) Lubricate the sealing lip of the U-cup seal lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Note: Apply 4C-9506 Retaining Compound to the wiper seal groove prior to assembly.

(5) Lubricate the sealing lip of the wiper seal lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

(6) Torque for the eight bolts ... 900 ± 100 N·m (660 ± 75 lb ft)

(7) 6E-0804 Sleeve Bearing

Inside diameter ... 90.210 ± 0.025 mm (3.5516 ± 0.0010 inch)

Outside diameter ... 106.200 ± 0.013 mm (4.1811 ± 0.0005 inch)

Installation depth of the sleeve bearing ... 8.0 ± 0.5 mm (0.31 ± 0.02 inch)
