Description of Change: A new fuel pump and governor drive shaft is available for parts service on the above engines. The new drive shaft which is used in the fuel pump and governor drive group will permit pressure lubrication of the shaft splines. The pressure lubrication will decrease spline wear and noise and increase the service life of the drive shaft.
Adaptable As: The new 2W7176 Shaft is a direct replacement for the former 4L3846 Shaft on D379 and D398 Engines. The new 2W7177 Shaft is a direct replacement for the former 6L9077 Shaft on D399 Engines.
