烟雾从曲轴箱经过曲轴箱呼吸器 (1) 输送至烟雾处理滤清器 (4)。 烟雾中的机油通过滤清器组件从空气中分离。 空气通过管路 (3) 输送至涡轮增压器，以使过滤后的窜气再次循环流过燃烧系统。
从烟雾中分离的机油收集在滤清器壳体底部。 机油通过回油管路 (5) 返回到发动机曲轴箱，回油管路通过曲轴箱侧盖布置。 曲轴箱压力通过滤清器的内部弹簧设置保持。
阻塞指示器 (2) 位于烟雾处理滤清器顶部。 在日常维护保养期间检查阻塞指示器。 阻塞指示器启用时，必须更换滤清器组件。
