Hydraulic Tank - Disassemble

Usage:

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the hydraulic tank. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic Tank - Remove".

  1. Remove harness assembly (4), sensor assembly (7), and fitting assembly (8) from tank assembly (1) .

  1. Remove valve (2), cap assembly (3), nuts (5), and filter base (6) from tank assembly (1) .

    Note: Discard nuts (5). New nuts (5) must be used for the assembly procedure.

  1. Perform the following procedure in order to disassemble filter base (6) .

    1. Remove O-ring seal (13) (not shown) from tube assembly (10) .

    1. Remove plug (12) from cover assembly (11). Remove nuts (9) in order to remove cover assembly (11) from filter base (6) .

      Note: Discard nuts (9). New nuts (9) must be used for the assembly procedure.

    1. Remove nut (21), washer (20), and washer (19) from stud (14). Remove O-ring seal (18) from retainer (17). Remove filter (16), O-ring seal (15), and stud (14) from cover assembly (11) .

      Note: Discard nut (21). New nut (21) must be used for the assembly procedure.

  1. Remove ring (22) and strainer (23) from tank assembly (1). Remove bolts (24), brackets (26), and cover (25) from tank assembly (1) .

    Note: Discard bolts (24). New bolts (24) must be used for the assembly procedure.

  1. Remove bolts (28) and screen (27) from tank assembly (1) .

    Note: Discard bolts (28). New bolts (28) must be used for the assembly procedure.

  1. Loosen clamps (30). Remove nuts (31) and housing assembly (29) from tank assembly (1). Disconnect hose (32) from tank assembly (1) .

  1. Perform the following steps in order to disassemble housing assembly (29) .

    1. Remove bolts (33) in order to remove bracket (34) from housing assembly (29). Remove nuts (36) in order to remove bracket (37) from housing assembly (29). Remove hose (35) from housing assembly (29) .

      Note: Discard bolts (33). New bolts (33) must be used for the assembly procedure.

      Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.

      Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.

      Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.

    1. Remove bolts (40), flange (41), tube assembly (42), spring (43), and valve (38) from housing assembly (29) .

      Note: Discard bolts (40). New bolts (40) must be used for the assembly procedure.

    1. Remove bolts (45), tube (44), and seal (39) from housing assembly (29) .

      Note: Discard bolts (45). New bolts (45) must be used for the assembly procedure.

  1. Remove nuts (46) and plate (47) from tank assembly (1) .

    Note: Discard nuts (46). New nuts (46) must be used for the assembly procedure.

  1. Remove grommet (48), sight glass (49), and plate (50) from plate (47) .

  1. Remove bolts (52) in order to remove manifold (51) from tank assembly (1). Remove nuts (53) in order to remove plug assembly (54) from tank assembly (1) .

    Note: Discard nuts (53). New nuts (53) must be used for the assembly procedure.

  1. Perform the following procedure in order to disassemble plug assembly (54) .

    1. Remove plug (61) from body (59). Remove O-ring seal (60) from plug (61) .

    1. Remove seal (58), valve (57), spring (56), and guide (55) from body (59) .
