Note: Put lubricant on the lip of all seals. Put 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease on all pin bores: lift cylinders, tilt cylinders, bucket and frame pin bores

(10) Torque for six bolts ... 270 ± 25 N·m (200 ± 18 lb ft)

Installation Procedure for Pin Assemblies

Note: The pin assemblies are made up of pins (9), sleeve bearings (20), thrust bearings (25), the seals and seal retainers.

  1. Clean the bores for all pin assemblies (9) and collets (21) .

  1. Install pin assemblies (9) through lift arm assembly (19) and bucket (27). Make sure that plugs (22) and (26) are toward the top.

  1. Tighten bolts (10) to a torque of 270 ± 25 N·m (200 ± 18 lb ft).

  1. Remove plugs (22) and (26). Put 5P-7504 Cartridge Pin Lube Oil into the hole that is located at plug (26). When oil will come out of the hole of plug (22), then reinstall plug (22) and (26) .

  1. Put 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on collets (21) and threads of bolts (24) .

  1. Install collets (21), washers (23) and bolts (24) .

  1. Tighten bolts (24) to a torque of 620 ± 80 N·m (460 ± 60 lb ft).

  1. After the bolts are tight, hit collets (21) with a heavy hammer so the torque for bolts (24) is less than 350 N·m (260 lb ft).

  1. Tighten bolts (24) again to a torque of 620 N·m (460 lb ft).

  1. Hit each collet again so the torque for bolts (24) is less than 500 N·m (370 lb ft).

  1. Tighten bolts (24) to a final torque of 620 ± 80 N·m (460 ± 60 lb ft).
