Features/Benefits
The reamer shims are used to control depth of the injector sleeve reaming operation. The reamer sleeves will allow only 0.25 mm (.010 inch) of material to be removed during each reaming. The reamer shims prevent the sleeve from being too deeply reamed. Reamer shims provide a positive stop at the end of each reaming operation. The shims minimize reamer vibration.
Procedure
- Install four shims between the Reamer Shanks and the bushing.
- The sleeve is reamed until the reamer shank contacts the shim.
- One shim at a time should be removed until proper depth is obtained.
