MID 036 - CID 0312 - FMI 05 Ignition Transformer Primary #12 open circuit
Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The primary circuit of the transformer is diagnosed with an open circuit.
System Response:
The alarm output is activated. The code is logged.
Possible Performance Effect:
The cylinder will misfire.
Troubleshooting:
One of the following conditions is the source of the diagnostic code:
- An open circuit in the wiring between the Electronic Control Module (ECM) and the transformer
- An open circuit within the primary winding of the transformer
- An internal failure of the ECM
Test Step 1. Perform the following diagnostic procedure: "Ignition Transformers Primary Circuit"

- OK - STOP
