Introduction
The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.
Problem
The left-hand walkway assembly may interfere with the lower left structure of the operator cab on the machines listed above. This issue may be noticed when the catwalk is installed during machine field assembly. The new 453-1009 Walkway Gp assembly was carried over from the 777G and due to tolerance variability the potential may exist that on certain machines the catwalk may interfere with the cab structure.

Caterpillar is aware of this problem and is recommending the following interim corrective action.
Remove seal (3) and mounting hardware, if seal hardware makes contact with the cab structure during assembly. Remove weld nuts (2) from the rear flange of walkway group (1) to provide the required clearance to the cab structure.
453-1009 Walkway Gp will be changed to fit correctly onto the 773G and 775G machines as a permanent corrective action.
