Engine and Torque Converter - Separate and Connect

Start By:

  1. Remove the engine and torque converter.

  1. Attach Tooling (A), Tooling (B), and a suitable lifting device onto torque converter (1). The weight of torque converter (1) is approximately 873 kg (1925 lb).

  2. Remove bolts (2), nuts (3), and bolts (4).

  3. If necessary, use Tooling (B) as forcing bolts to separate torque converter (1) from the flywheel housing.

  4. Use Tooling (A), Tooling (B), and the suitable lifting device to remove torque converter (1).

  5. Remove O-ring seal (10) and seal (11).

Connect Procedure

  1. Connect torque converter (1) in the reverse order of separate.
