Description of Change: A new clip has been added to the fuel lines group. The clip maintains the offset between the fuel hose and the oil level gauge (dipstick). The offset prevents the fuel hose from rubbing against the dipstick.
Adaptable To: The new 297-1546 Clip has been added to the fuel lines group. The addition of the clip is effective with C13 (S/N: MHX3510-UP) Engines. The addition of the clip is adaptable to the machines that are listed with C13 (S/N: MHX1-3509) Engines. The location of the clip is shown in Illustration 3.
Check the fuel hose and make sure that the hose is not interfering with the oil level gauge. Install a new 244-4967 Hose As and a new 297-1546 Clip if the hose exhibits wear from the interference. Refer to Illustration 2 for an example of the interference.
If the fuel hose is not interfering with the dipstick, install a new clip. The installation of the clip will prevent the possibility of any interference in the future.

Note: Make sure that the clip is oriented correctly. The loop in the clip is oriented inward toward the engine. Refer to Illustration 4.
